Rabbit Trails 3/17/12

Hopping down the world wide rabbit trail we circle around to some interesting news this week…

Happy St. Patty’s Day. I’ve discovered there are two kinds of people in the world: those who are Irish, and those who wish they were Irish. My wife is Irish. That makes me Irish by proxy.

I learned something more about world wide slavery particularly as related to the sex trafficking of children. Here’s a good article talking about how to spot it.

Tebow gets all the crazy pub, but I’ve heard continually that Colt McCoy is a solid Christian guy.

Apparently, people don’t wonder about the afterlife as much as they used to.

Roberts H. Schuller resigns from the board of the Crystal Cathedral. Why does this matter? I’m not sure.

This story about “wrongful birth” lawsuits really bothers me.

This does matter however: Israeli postal workers refuse to deliver New Testaments. I’ve said for some time now that the modern state of Israel is a thoroughly secular state where Christianity is frowned upon, and is not equivalent to Old Testament Israel. In principle, is this any different than what is going on in China?

If you choose to follow a calling into vocational Christian work, and it doesn’t pan out, you can always sue someone.

One of the stranger stories this week. A flight attendant loses it and tells passengers they are in danger of crashing.

Last, but never least…for those of you thinking about getting into paddling sports, a quick review of nicer, but not necessarily cheap entry level kayaks.
